Job summary

ScotRail seeks a Field Systems Technician to support maintenance and faulting of Customer Information, Security and Retail Systems across the network. You will work with Field Systems Engineers to conduct surveys, safety audits and produce technical documentation for maintenance and projects.

You will contribute to quality improvements, preventative maintenance programs and faulting reports while ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working with railway Customer Information, Security and Retail Systems, alongside knowledge of these systems and associated networking technologies.
• Railway engineering and terminal operations experience, including experience of Personal Track Safety disciplines.
• Experience producing Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Work Package Plans to support the safe delivery of work.
• Effective communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• A UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and faulting activities across the ScotRail network.
• Assist with site surveys and safety audits, and help produce documentation for maintenance, faulting and project work.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Produce maintenance and faulting reports to ensure safety and standards are met.
• Ensure customer-facing systems are maintained safely and to required standards.
