Job summary

Involve Recruitment is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (CEM) to lead the engineering delivery of CP7 rail infrastructure projects in Wales. You will oversee engineering assurance, design management, and technical governance from inception through hand-back, ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards across Design & Build schemes.

You will chair design reviews, lead internal and external design teams, and provide technical leadership on construction methodology and buildability

Qualifications

Proven experience as a CEM within a rail contracting environment.
Strong civil engineering background, particularly structures and rail assets.
Experience delivering Design & Build projects.
Excellent knowledge of Network Rail standards and engineering processes.
Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Act as Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM).
Lead engineering assurance and technical governance.
Manage internal and external design teams.
Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards and PACE/GRIP requirements.
Chair design reviews and oversee technical approvals.
Provide technical leadership on construction methodology and buildability.
Support safe, efficient project delivery and undertake CRE duties when required.
