Job summary

Involve Recruitment is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (CEM) to lead the engineering delivery of CP7 rail infrastructure projects in Wales. You will oversee engineering assurance, design management, and technical governance from inception through hand-back, ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards across Design & Build schemes.

You will chair design reviews, lead internal and external design teams, and provide technical leadership on construction methodology and buildability

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CEM within a rail contracting environment.
• Strong civil engineering background, particularly structures and rail assets.
• Experience delivering Design & Build projects.
• Excellent knowledge of Network Rail standards and engineering processes.
• Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Overview

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager (CEM) to lead the engineering delivery of a portfolio of CP7 rail infrastructure projects.

You'll play a key role in delivering major enhancement and renewals schemes, including Footbridge Enhancements Programmes, supporting future capacity improvements on one of Wales' most important rail corridors. As CEM, you will lead engineering assurance, design management, and technical governance across multiple Design & Build projects, ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards from project inception through to hand-back.
