Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talentwise seek an HVAC Electrical Technician to join a rolling stock engineering team. You will oversee overhaul, testing and commissioning of HVAC systems used on passenger trains, starting with a 3-month training phase in Doncaster before permanent transfer to Barton.

The role requires a Level 3 electrical qualification, proven fault-finding skills and a strong electrical bias. HV testing experience is highly desirable; rail background is an advantage but not essential.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on fault finding and maintenance experience.
• HVAC electrical systems knowledge preferred.
• Experience with electrical schematics/readings is essential.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul, refurbish and test HVAC units removed from rolling stock.
• Perform electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC equipment.
• Undertake high-voltage testing and ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support continuous improvement.
