Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Rail Depot Manager (Cleaning) to lead site operations, manage budgets and stock, and drive service excellence across the contract locations. You will ensure safety, quality, time and cost targets are met while championing new policies and processes.

You will liaise with Supervisors and teams to maintain service standards, authorise expenditure with the Account Director, and travel to various contract sites as required.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Proven track record in cleaning service delivery.
• Experience of implementing, reviewing, and achieving safety, quality, time and cost standards.
• Demonstrable experience of managing a team.
• Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
• Willingness to travel to sites across the contract region at short notice.
• Good IT skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer.
• Strong organisation skills for meeting deadlines and supporting others.
• Recognised Health and Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH).

Responsibilities

• Oversee accountability for overtime and stock control at your location.
• Champion new policies and processes and promote new ways of working to secure buy-in.
• Lead the effective operational delivery and facilitation of all services at your location.
• Coordinate with Supervisors, Team Leaders and employees to maintain service standards.
• Review and implement new initiatives, legislation and changes as needed.
• Authorise expenditure as agreed with the Account Director.
• Monitor budgets and expenditure with regular reviews and stock checks.
• Provide regular operation reports to the Senior Operations Manager.
• Interface with clients, service providers and stakeholders to align expectations.
• Lead liaison with supervisors and teams to ensure staffing supports contract and service needs.
