Job summary

Zinc Consult, a UK rail and wider infrastructure specialist, is recruiting a permanent Commercial Manager. You will lead commercial management of a major package, protect value, handle change and keep contractual positions robust as the programme progresses to delivery.

Based in Leeds with hybrid flexibility, you will build strong relationships with Network Rail, designers and partners while guiding a team of Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Commercial Managers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager on rail or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (preferably NEC4 ECC).
• Experience managing change, compensation events and claims through to agreement.
• Confident forecasting, budgeting and CVR skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of your package, including cost forecasting and CVR reporting.
• Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including compensation events and early warnings.
• Prepare, negotiate and agree variations, claims and final accounts.
• Manage subcontract and supply chain procurement, tender evaluation and settlements.
• Provide commercial advice to the delivery team at key decision points.
