Job summary

New Step Recruitment is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor for a long-term contract based in Birmingham, specialising in RAIL projects. The role requires extensive experience in quantity surveying and commercial management with NEC contracts.

You will have 6+ years in QS, a BSc (or similar) in QS, commercial management, accountancy or engineering, and knowledge of rail sector practices. MRICS is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC contracts on rail projects.
• 6+ years of quantity surveying experience.
• BSc or equivalent in QS, commercial management, accountancy or engineering.
• MRICS qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all quantity surveying and commercial management duties on rail projects.
• Perform cost verification and cost audit activities related to salaries, day rates, pensions, and related costs.
