Job summary

Heavy Haul Rail North is seeking an Admin Assistant to join the Contract Performance Team in Ferrybridge migrating to Doncaster. Reporting to the Head of Commercial North, you will be part of a small group that provides administrative support for the Heavy Haul North Commercial team, helping ensure accurate billing and timely invoicing for all moves.

The role involves collating train running data, updating online systems, and producing performance statistics to measure operational performance

Qualifications

• Quick learner and ability to absorb general railway knowledge.
• Commercially focused.
• Good knowledge of Excel to compile train running data and invoicing.
• Ability to organize large volumes of raw data and provide reports on demand.
• Highly conscientious with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Request and update 3rd party access for trains through Freight Operators’ yards.
• Validate 3rd party access, invoicing and log queries.
• Book bowser fuelling and validate invoicing.
• Agree 3rd party access into HHR yards and set invoicing.
• Investigate operational anomalies and establish liability.
• Collate train running data for invoices and compute billing.
• Investigate and resolve customer billing queries.
• Monitor performance and capture chargeable moves for invoicing.
• Update and maintain online systems as required.
• Provide ad hoc performance stats on demand.
