Job summary

AmcoGiffen is seeking three permanent, site-based operatives (two Skilled Operatives and one General Operative) across the North West & Central Asset Management unit. Positions cover rail maintenance, renewals and reactive works for Network Rail, with Warrington as the regional office.

You will work in a busy civils/building environment across multiple sites, ensuring safety and quality while supporting works to programme and site management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within the rail and/or civil engineering sector.
• Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety).
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working across various sites and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out designated site tasks and activities.
• Work safely in accordance with site rules, permits and briefings.
• Understand and adhere to risk assessments and method statements.
• Use tools, equipment and plant safely and effectively.
• Maintain safe and tidy working areas.
• Support the delivery of works to programme.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and site management.
• Report hazards, incidents and near misses.
• Participate in site briefings, safety forums and toolbox talks.
• Promote best practice and high standards of workmanship.
