Job summary

Amazon AWS Transport team in the UK seeks an Account Manager for Rail to drive growth among GBR, Network Rail, and rail operators, while shaping cloud-native technology adoption in a highly regulated rail environment.

You will build strategic relationships with leadership, influence technology decisions, and coordinate with partners to deliver data platforms, AI-powered maintenance, and passenger information solutions across the rail portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth and market share across the UK Rail territory, encompassing GBR, Network Rail, DfTO, Rail Delivery Group, and rail-operating companies.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive account development plan aligned with GBR transformation and consolidation priorities.
• Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with senior leaders across GBR Shadow Board, Network Rail, DfTO, and rail operators.
• Develop and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services including data platforms, AI/ML maintenance, IoT, and cloud-native passenger systems.
• Identify opportunities in multi-cloud displacement, legacy mainframe migration, and digital twin for infrastructure planning.
• Coordinate and manage partner ecosystems to extend market reach across rail-specialist integrators and ISVs.
• Understand safety-critical regulatory requirements and collaborate with Solutions Architects to shape compliant solutions.
• Engage with officials, policy makers, rail industry bodies, and delivery partners across the rail ecosystem.
• Present business reviews to senior management on progress, pipeline, and expansion blockers.
