Job summary

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, seeks Welfare Officers to provide direct welfare support to RAF personnel and their families. You will assist service users with mental ill-health, relationships, housing, finances, and other non-statutory needs, delivering confidential, person-centred interventions.

You will use digital technologies to enhance accessibility, deliver virtual support to teams, and promote the service through presentations at RAF sites and public events.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct welfare support to RAF personnel and their families.
• Deliver confidential, person-centred interventions to address mental health, relationships, housing, finances, and other challenges.
• Promote the service through presentations and public engagement events within the RAF community.
• Utilise Microsoft Office 365 and digital tools to enhance accessibility and deliver virtual support to teams.
