A regional healthcare trust in Winchester is looking for a Radiography Department Assistant to support the Radiology staff. Responsibilities include assisting patients during imaging, stock management, and data entry. This role offers full-time variable shifts and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, promoting a high-quality service for patients.
Role Description: The candidate will work in the Radiology Department, with the opportunity to rotate through Plain Film, MRI, CT, Ultrasound and Interventional Radiology. This role involves assisting patient preparation for their imaging such as helping them to change and manual handling on to the examination tables. The Radiography Department Assistant will chaperone during examinations such as ultrasound, cannulate, perform basic aseptic technique and clinical observations, stock ordering and clean the equipment. They will use hospital IT systems to input and record data. This is an important role supporting the Radiology staff to provide a high quality service in a department with a large number of patients seen each day.
