Job summary

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive medical secretary to support the Radiology Department, including typing, filing, mail handling and general admin. The role emphasizes strong communication and teamwork within a busy clinical setting.

Full training will be provided to the right candidate. You will work with Radiologists, Junior Doctors and Radiographers to ensure an efficient, patient-focused service that meets NHS deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience as a medical secretary is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work in a high pace environment.
• Ability to work autonomously providing support to Consultant and department.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical secretarial support to Consultant and Radiology department.
• Handle word processing, typing, mail handling, filing and photocopying.
• Interface effectively with patients, professionals and other agencies.
• Ensure services meet national and local access deadlines and targets.
