Job summary

The Radiology Administration team at NHS Golden Jubilee National University Hospital invites applications for a Radiology Admin Coordinator. This pivotal role provides administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the Radiology Management Team, consultants and the wider multidisciplinary group.

You will manage complex diaries, prepare agendas and minutes, coordinate rotas including annual leave and on-call, support payroll and workforce processes, maintain records and systems, and liaise

Qualifications

  • Significant administrative experience, preferably within healthcare.
  • HNC/SVQ III in Secretarial Studies, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with tact and professionalism.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • The ability to work independently whilst contributing to a wider team.
  • A flexible and positive approach to meeting changing service needs.

At Golden Jubilee National University Hospital, we play a unique role within NHS Scotland, delivering specialist services, pioneering research, education and national elective care. Our Radiology service is one of Scotland's leading diagnostic imaging departments, supporting both specialist services within the hospital and patients from Health Boards across the country. As Scotland's national waiting times centre for diagnostic imaging, we help reduce waiting times and improve access to care nationwide. We also host the National Ultrasound Training Programme, supporting the development of future healthcare professionals.

Due to continued service expansion, we are seeking a highly organised and motivated Radiology Admin Coordinator to join our busy and supportive team.

About the Role

This is a pivotal role within Radiology, providing comprehensive administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the Radiology Management Team, Consultant Radiologists and wider multidisciplinary team. You will act as a key point of contact for staff, patients and external organisations, helping to ensure effective communication, coordination and operational delivery across the department.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing complex diaries and coordinating meetings.
  • Preparing agendas and producing accurate meeting minutes.
  • Coordinating consultant and departmental rotas, including annual leave and on-call arrangements.
  • Supporting payroll administration and workforce processes.
  • Maintaining departmental systems, records and filing structures.
  • Providing high-quality administrative support to senior leaders and clinicians.
  • Working with a range of specialist NHS and Radiology information systems.

About You

You will be a highly organised and proactive administrator with significant experience in a busy administrative role, ideally within a healthcare environment. You will be confident managing multiple priorities, maintaining accuracy under pressure and building positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • HNC/SVQ III in Secretarial Studies, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
