Job summary

NHS Fife is seeking two Radiography Assistants to join our friendly Radiology team on a full-time and part-time basis across five sites. You will support radiologists, radiographers, sonographers and mammographers, and participate in services across Ultrasound, CT, Breast, and General radiology.

You must be a team player with flexible hours, including extended days and weekends when required. Cannulation and vital signs skills are essential; prior radiology experience is helpful, and training is

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Radiology NHS Fife.

We are looking to appoint two Radiography Assistant to join our existing friendly team in a full time and part time bases. Radiology NHS Fife provides Radiography services to the local population across 5 sites.

The Radiography department provides a 7 day service and the successful candidates would work in different modalities within the Radiology department including Ultrasound, CT ,Breast service and the General department.

You will be providing clinical support for Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and Mammographers ensuring the comfort and safety of the patient undergoing various Radiology procedures.

The successful candidate must be a team player who is enthusiastic and can work flexible hours to include extended days and weekends when required. Previous cannulation and vital signs skills are an essential part of the role.

Experience within a Radiology department and knowledge of the Radiology Information System would be advantageous although training will be given. Acute service provision requires a flexible approach to working patterns.

You should be able to travel and work efficiently and effectively in various work locations within NHS Fife, to meet the requirements of the service.

A commitment to Public Holiday rotas and extended working days/weekends to meet the needs of the service is essential
