A leading environmental services provider is looking for a Radiological Waste Specialist to manage waste operations at a major decommissioning site in Somerset. This role includes providing technical input and compliance oversight while coordinating with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess a relevant technical qualification and experience in the nuclear industry. This position offers a four-day working week and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation regarding waste.
• Relevant experience within the nuclear industry, ideally in waste management.
• Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to design new waste facilities.
• Ensure waste management is considered at all project stages.
• Develop Project Waste Management Plans.
• Coordinate with contractors for compliance.
• Advise on waste legislation and transport.
