The Park Hospital in Nottingham, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Radiographer to join the Imaging department on a bank basis. The role covers plain film, X-ray and theatre screening, with shifts as required.

Applicants should hold a BSc Hons in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration, and experience in general radiography. The role offers an hourly rate up to £23 and a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Qualificações

• BSc Hons in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
• Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures following referral and imaging protocols.
• Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising repeats.
• Adapt techniques for paediatrics, bariatrics and patients with limited mobility.
• Provide a safe, dignified, patient-centred service and reassure patients throughout examinations.
• Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond to signs of deterioration.
• Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely; report faults promptly.
• Assist in new imaging technologies and digital systems (PACS, RIS).
• Collaborate with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters and admin teams to coordinate care.

We have an opportunity for a Radiographer to join their team of staff in theImagingdepartment. This role will cover Plain Film, X-ray and Theatre Screening

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
• Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.
• Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and patients with limited mobility.
• Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination.
• Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.
• Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.
• Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).
• Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
• Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area desirable (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography).
