Job summary

Circle Health Group in Nottingham is seeking a Radiographer to join the imaging team on a bank basis for MRI support. The role involves performing a broad range of radiographic procedures, ensuring image quality and patient safety, and collaborating with radiologists and clinical teams.

The position requires HCPC registration, a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, and experience with standard radiographic techniques. Postgraduate MRI experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in radiography or equivalent.
• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
• Knowledge of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Postgraduate imaging training (CT/MRI/theatre imaging) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) per referrals and imaging protocols.
• Ensure high-quality images to support accurate diagnosis and minimise repeats.
• Adapt techniques for paediatrics, bariatrics and patients with limited mobility.
• Provide a safe, dignified, patient-centred service and keep patients informed and comfortable.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any deterioration.
• Ensure equipment is checked, maintained and used safely; report faults.
• Assist in adopting new imaging technologies, including PACS, RIS.

We have an opportunity for a Radiographer to join their team of staff in theImagingdepartment.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
• Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.
• Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and patients with limited mobility.
• Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination.
• Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.
• Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.
• Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).
• Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
• Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area desirable (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography).
