Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist for St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

The PRN role supports the clinical team, administering ionizing radiation under physician prescriptions and performing patient simulations and care. You will work with a team focused on advanced cancer treatments, with responsibilities spanning treatment delivery, QA, patient education, and collaboration with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Radiology Tech license in the state of practice.
• ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy.
• BLS for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and implements prescription and treatment plan; delivers and charts summaries.
• Performs simulation procedures and prepares immobilization devices.
• Assesses treatment machines and performs daily QA procedures.
• Assists in clinical training and evaluation of student therapists.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Provides basic patient care during treatment and supports education.
• Maintains accurate daily billing information for treatment procedures.
• Schedules and treats patients in a timely, professional manner.
