Job summary

ATEXIS is seeking a Technical Publisher in Bristol, UK, to support a complex radar development programme within the defence and aerospace sector. You will create, manage, and deliver high-quality technical documentation compliant with ASD S1000D and DEF STAN, using Teamcenter Unified to control structures, metadata, and baselines.

You will collaborate with engineers and SMEs to extract technical data, ensure consistency across variants, and drive publication processes with a focus on accuracy

Qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Publisher or Technical Documentation Specialist in an engineering environment.
• Knowledge of S1000D, XML-based authoring, and documentation processes.
• Experience with PLM/Document management systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and version control.
• Ability to extract data from engineering sources and structure it clearly.
• Strong editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
• Security clearance eligibility for defence projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and publish manuals, data modules, test reports, and qualification evidence for radar systems.
• Ensure compliance with ASD S1000D, DEF STAN and other defence standards.
• Use Teamcenter Unified to manage documents, metadata, version control and baselines.
• Collaborate with engineers and SMEs to turn technical data into user-focused content.
• Maintain consistency across product variants and development phases.
• Support change management and configuration control workflows.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve publication queries.
• Contribute to publishing process improvements and TC U automation.
