Job summary

Saab UK is expanding its Sensor Systems capability in Fareham, Hampshire, recruiting a Systems Engineer to help grow radar and sensor capabilities. The role focuses on the Giraffe 1X radar, with involvement in requirements, design and lifecycle activities, and collaboration across engineering teams.

You will contribute to technical analyses, lifecycle management, and product growth initiatives, with travel within the UK and overseas as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent).
• Experience with a recognised industry-standard requirements management tool.
• Familiar with ISO 15288:2023 and lifecycle techniques.
• Understanding of the interaction between system requirements and hardware/software implementation.
• Strong technical communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Ability to conduct technical analysis with attention to detail.
• UK or Swedish citizenship required; travel within the UK and overseas expected.
• Must be able to obtain National Security Vetting clearance to SC level.

• Support bid activities and development of customer demonstrations.
• Derive and manage system requirements.
• Analyze radar performance and develop algorithms.
• Design system and subsystems; manage system lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate with engineering functions.
