Saab UK, based at Fareham, is expanding its Sensor Systems Business Unit. We seek a Systems Engineer to support growth of radar and sensor products, including the G1X software‑defined radar with ongoing updates and a production line.
You will regularly work with current products, develop enhancements, and explore new areas for product growth, collaborating with UK and international teams.

This role is part of our Sensor Systems Business Unit. Saab is expanding in the UK and we are now seeking a talented and highly motivated Systems Engineer to support our radar and sensors growth activities at our Fareham campus. Much of our current work is centred on the G1X radar, which is the newest radar in Saab's portfolio – a software‑defined radar with a regular capability update cycle post‑delivery, as well as an established production line. As a Systems Engineer you will regularly work with current products, developing enhancements and investigating new areas for product growth.
During your employment you will handle tasks and materials that are classified as military secret and therefore you must have a UK or Swedish citizenship. As a National Security Vetting clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold National Security Vetting clearance to SC level or have the ability to gain it.
