Job summary
Leonardo UK is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer / Specialist to drive Radar Mode development within the Mk0 Systems Engineering team in the UK. The role focuses on developing algorithms for the Signal Processor and collaborating with EuroRADAR partners across the full lifecycle, including design, verification, trials, and validation.
The successful candidate will manage the Mk0 Radar Modes team, own the routemap, and lead technical updates with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Engineering/Physics/Applied Maths degree or equivalent.
- Radar systems engineering or signal processing experience preferred.
- Experience leading a systems engineering team.
- Ability to build and maintain complex system models and analysis tools.
- Strong data analysis skills for large datasets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Mk0 Radar Modes team and routemap development.
- Oversee radar mode design, verification, and validation.
- Plan trials and analyze ground/flight trial data.
- Develop design solutions to address capability gaps.
- Present analyses and drive design updates through change control.
- Maintain configuration of models and analysis tools.
