Job summary

Sunderland Greyhound Stadia in Sunderland is seeking a passionate Racing Support Assistant to help deliver race meetings with integrity, grade cards, and carry out racing office duties in line with GBGB rules.

You will assist with paddock and kennel tasks, track operations, data input, race statistics, and hospitality support, while working flexible hours including evenings and weekends and maintaining high health, safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Reliable team player with ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Greyhound industry knowledge ideal.
• Flexible to evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support the racing office with trial and race meetings, including data input and updating race information online.
• Assist with paddock and kennel duties, GBGB rule compliance and animal welfare.
• Help with race day track operations, including starting races and handling traps.
• Provide support to tote and hospitality teams during busy race meetings.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, per racing schedule.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness across all areas.
