2025 marks the tenth season of the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, and we're just getting started. We challenge the status quo, aiming to push boundaries and innovate within the sport.
As the first American Formula 1 team since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made a notable debut in 2016 and has since demonstrated growth, with its second-best season to date.
We are a racing team with three headquarters—Kannapolis (US), Banbury (UK), and Maranello (Italy)—driven by passionate and dedicated team members. Known as the 'family team,' we value visibility, contribution, and mutual learning.
Position Overview:
This role reports to the R&D Team Leader or their designee (factory-based) or the Chief Mechanic (during race travel) and is based in Banbury, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
GCSE or high school diploma required; further education preferred. At least five years of experience in motorsport, with expertise in metrology and non-destructive testing. Knowledge of component tracking, report writing, and technical drawings is essential. Experience in F1 or high-level motorsport is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills:
Strong communication, mechanical understanding, ability to interpret technical drawings, and experience with ISO standards, CAD, and inspection of composites. Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and collaborate effectively within a team are crucial.
Equipment Knowledge:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics AX, and familiarity with 3D scanning and regulatory compliance related to materials and facility maintenance.
Work Environment:
Must work effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment, with occasional travel and flexible hours. Physical demands include lifting, bending, and manual dexterity, with exposure to machinery, race cars, and hazardous fluids. Compliance with health and safety policies is mandatory.
