Job summary

Paradigm Employment Services LTD is recruiting on behalf of a well-established international engineering and manufacturing business for an R&D Technician to join their growing technical team in Ashford, Kent.

You will bring a practical electronics background, enjoy fault finding, testing and supporting the development of innovative electronic products within a modern manufacturing environment. This is a permanent, full-time role with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• HNC or HND in Electronics (or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 2+ years in electronics, R&D or test engineering.
• Good understanding of electronic circuits and electrical principles.
• Experience testing, fault finding or repairing electronic products.

Responsibilities

• Assist the R&D team with new product development.
• Test and validate new electronic products and functions.
• Repair and diagnose electronic products and assemblies.
• Support product qualification and verification activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the R&D team with new product development
• Test and validate new electronic products and functions
• Repair and diagnose electronic products and assemblies
• Support product qualification and verification activities
• Record test results and technical findings
• Work closely with engineering and technical teams on product improvements

About You

You’ll ideally have:

• HNC/HND or equivalent in Electronics (or similar)
• 2+ years' experience within electronics, R&D or test engineering
• Good understanding of electronic circuits and electrical principles
• Experience testing, fault finding or repairing electronic products
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office/Outlook)
• A proactive, organised and methodical approach
