Job summary

Highbury Recruitment is seeking an R&D Technician to join a busy engineering environment in the UK. You will support R&D, NPI and manufacturing teams, performing hands-on testing and developing new test methods.

The role requires a practical engineering or electronics background, strong Maths and English, and experience with laboratory/test equipment. Excel proficiency is emphasised, and you will produce detailed technical reports.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematics and English proficiency.
• A science or engineering background is advantageous.
• Experience using laboratory or electronic test equipment is helpful.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, NPI, and Manufacturing teams.
• Assemble and test components per written procedures.
• Conduct tests: capacitance, insulation resistance, ESR, HV tests.
• Prepare technical reports and document results.
• Assist development of new test methods and processes.
• Support maintenance of laboratory/test equipment.
