Job summary

The Research and Development Support Officer role sits within the Occupational Psychology and Psychometric Services team, part of the Recruitment Directorate in OneGov in Cabinet Office. You will contribute to developing new psychometric tools and maintaining existing ones, handling enquiries, and supporting agile project work with a multidisciplinary team.

• Background in social sciences (e.g., psychology) or numerate degrees (e.g., maths) with experience in research projects.
• Understanding of quantitative data collection.
• Opportunities to develop statistics and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the testing platform and assign tests to participants.
• Assist in developing new psychometric tools and research for existing suite.
• Handle the shared mailbox and respond to stakeholder enquiries.
• Support agile project management alongside psychologists, psychometricians and digital colleagues.
• Provide secretariat duties for online test and assessment meetings.
• Travel within the UK for regular team meetings.
