Job summary

The Research and Development Support Officer role sits within the Occupational Psychology and Psychometric Services team, part of the Recruitment Directorate in OneGov. You will contribute to developing psychometric tools and supporting research required to maintain our psychometric suite.

The role involves managing enquiries, testing platforms, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Regular meetings are held in our offices with nationwide travel requirements within the UK.

Qualifications

• Background in social sciences (e.g. psychology) or numerate degrees (e.g. maths, statistics).
• Experience taking part in research projects and understanding quantitative data collection.
• Opportunity to develop capability in statistics and data analysis for psychometrics and workplace psychology.

Responsibilities

• Assist development of new psychometric tools and maintenance of existing tools.
• Manage shared mailbox and respond to stakeholder enquiries.
• Manage testing platform and assign tests to participants in trials.
• Collaborate in an agile project environment with psychologists, psychometricians and digital colleagues.
• Prepare and build research materials and export data for R&D activities.
