An exciting opportunity for a Graduate or experienced Software Engineer to join an innovative stealth start-up in Saffron Walden as an R&D Software Engineer, working on some of the world's most pressing challenges. The company is founded by experts in their field and has achieved success with other start-ups, offering a dynamic environment filled with technological innovation and cutting-edge tech.

Location:

Saffron Walden, UK - fully on-site due to the role's nature

Salary:

£38,000 for a new Graduate - up to £60,000 for experienced candidates

Requirements:

• Outstanding academic background, such as a 1st class honours or high 2.1 degree from a top university in Computer Science, Maths, Physics, Electronics, or similar.
• Minimum of AAA at A Level or equivalent UCAS points.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to learn proactively and ask questions to expand knowledge.
• Exposure to areas like Embedded Development, Hardware Development, RF, SDRs, Docker, Cloud technologies, machine learning, or Mobile App Development (iOS or Android) is beneficial and should be included in your CV.
• Eligibility for SC Clearance, which typically requires residence in the UK for the past 5+ years and a clean criminal record.

Responsibilities:

• Support research and development objectives through various technical tasks, gaining experience in software engineering, data science, and machine learning.
• Collaborate with team members to design and develop software solutions addressing the company's challenges.
• Develop data collection, preprocessing, and optimization techniques for machine learning and algorithms.
• Manage and maintain operational company systems, primarily Linux-based.
