Job summary

Midas is seeking an R&D Electronics Engineer to join its established engineering team in Skelmersdale. You will design and develop new electronic products from concept to production, drive improvements, and support product launches while maintaining high quality standards.

You will apply strong analogue design skills, circuit simulation knowledge, EMC and safety awareness, and collaborate across departments to deliver innovative solutions in a compliance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
• 3–5 years’ experience in an electronics design role.
• Strong analogue design skills and experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of electronic circuit simulation and hardware design principles.
• Understanding of EMC compliance and electrical measurement applications.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Further qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with MRPI or MRPII systems.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 quality auditing or similar standards.

Location: Skelmersdale – accessible from Ormskirk, Wigan, Southport, Liverpool, St Helens, Chorley, Preston, and surrounding areas

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per year (depending on experience) + 5% company performance bonus
