Job summary

Strategic Recruitment Partners in Chippenham seeks a motivated Project Engineer to join a specialist team focused on advanced composite structures. You will lead design, development and project management for early-stage R&D initiatives and collaborate with consortium partners to meet technical and commercial needs.

This role blends desks-based work with hands-on activity, coordinating engineers, suppliers and resources to deliver innovative products for aerospace, automotive and energy sectors

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background with the ability to apply first-principles
• Experience in design and development of advanced composite products
• Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers

Responsibilities

• Develop new designs and realise customer requirements with engineering, quality and production teams
• Develop tooling designs, technical drawings and process instructions for manufacturing and inspection
• Work with R&D technicians to experiment and develop new products and processes
• Manage customer and supplier liaison, RFQ support and technical queries
• Support implementation of process instructions and quality alerts
• Ensure existing products are managed, issues identified and improvements implemented
• Maintain trials records and lessons learned for R&D activities
