An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a world leading global organisation. We are looking for a Packaging Lab Technician to work with Manpower at our client's Research & Development Facility in Seacroft, Leeds. This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months, working 37.5 hours per week. The role pays £24,570 per annum, pro-rata.

We are seeking a Packaging Lab Technician based at a client research facility, working with some of the world's leading deodorant brands. The post holder will be responsible for carrying out routine testing of new aerosol packaging components to validate both component design and functionality under supervision.

Responsibilities Will Include (but Are Not Limited To):

• Aerosol safety testing
• Measuring and testing components and finished products under instruction
• Documenting results in Excel spreadsheets
• Preparing and sending samples as specified by requesters
• Collecting raw materials from warehouse/factory
• Filling aerosols (including gassing)
• Setting up storage at all temperatures
• Laboratory housekeeping
• Washing lab materials and storing in cupboards
• Supporting lab & storage clear-outs
• Ensuring waste disposal is completed according to SOP
• Being an active member of the lab team
• Lab waste management
• Ensuring lab coats & high-vis jackets are cleaned regularly

Skills and Qualifications:

• A science-based degree is desirable but not essential; GCSE level C or equivalent in Maths, Science, English is required
• Measuring and testing experience
• Lab technician experience
• Interest in working in this field
• Good IT skills
• Good communication skills and well-organized
