Job summary

Bolt Technical is seeking an experienced R&D Manager - Electronics to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team in Hertfordshire. You will oversee the full product development lifecycle from concept and design through testing, compliance and production, working closely with the Managing Director.

The role requires hands-on leadership in analogue/digital electronics, embedded systems and microcontrollers, with a proven track record of taking products to production and ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Degree in electronics or related field; proven leadership of an R&D/engineering team.
• Experience bringing electronics products from concept to production.
• Knowledge of analogue/digital electronics and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory, testing and certification processes.
• Strong PM and communication skills.

Bolt Technical are recruitment exclusively for a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced R&D Manager - Electronics to join an innovative R&D Team, within an established business developing electronic products.

Working closely with the Managing Director, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and oversee the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, compliance and production.

What you need to apply for R&D Manager - Electronics

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related discipline
• Proven experience leading an R&D or engineering team within electronics product development
• Previous experience in a people management role
• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, embedded systems and microcontrollers
• Experience with communication technologies such as DALI, Bluetooth, Zigbee, DMX or Ethernet
• Proven experience taking electronic products from concept through to production
• Understanding of regulatory, compliance, testing and certification requirements
• Strong project management, leadership and communication skills
• Experience using engineering design tools such as Altium and embedded development environments
