Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC machinist for a global technology group in Tring. You’ll be hands-on in the machine shop, programming, setting and running CNC mills and lathes to manufacture prototype and low‑volume parts, using a range of materials and tools to exacting standards.

The role requires apprentice‑trained or 5+ years in a precision shop, plus proficiency in manual milling/turning and CNC programming.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained machinist or minimum 5 years' experience in a precision workshop environment.
• Skilled in manual milling and turning and CNC programming.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Manufacture precision parts in the machine shop.
• Program, set up and operate CNC mills (3- & 4-axis) and lathes.
• Inspect work with precision measuring equipment and maintain ISO 9001 standards.
• Collaborate on design improvements and continuous process enhancements.

Role Overview

You'll be hands-on in the machine shop, manufacturing prototype and low-volume production parts, using a range of materials and machines. This is a varied role where you'll program, set and run CNC mills and lathes, contribute to problem-solving and prototyping, and uphold the highest quality standards. Your work in the machine shop will be critical to the success of the wider production team and you'll be joining a company with one of the most recognisable brands in the world of technology.

• Work with Mazak, Mazatrol, Hurco machinery and Winmax programming.

Location: Tring, Buckinghamshire

Salary: £35k-£45k

Working Hours: Mon-Fri(8-5) - half day Friday and 9/10 policy
