Job summary

Sun Chemical is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Research & Development team in Midsomer Norton. You will work on developing new products for inkjet, solvent, UV, and electronic materials, while maintaining testing protocols and SOPs for equipment.

You will support product development, formulate new and existing products, and interact with customers and internal stakeholders to progress projects and ensure compliance and safety practices are followed.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (A*-C/4+) with science emphasis and A Levels in Chemistry/Biology/Physics or related field; degree preferred but not required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
• Able to design test methods, analyze results and present findings clearly.
• Strong team player with initiative and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products for Inkjet, solvent, UV, and Electronic Materials markets.
• Develop and maintain testing protocols; SOPs for equipment.
• Laboratory tasks and daily operational support.
• Product development and formulation research for new and existing items.
• Interact with customers and internal teams to advance PCB and Electronic Materials projects.
