Job summary

Sun Chemical Corporation, part of the Sun Chemical Group, is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Research & Development team based in Midsomer Norton, UK.

You will develop new products for Inkjet, solvent, UV and Electronic Materials markets, maintain testing protocols, and interact with customers to advance product development. Strong lab experience and MS Office skills are essential; competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (A*-C / 4+) with emphasis on science subjects and A Levels in Chemistry/Biology/Physics or related discipline.
• Science degree preferable but not essential.
• Competent in the use of MSOffice (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining application testing protocols; maintenance and SOP development of equipment (e.g. test equipment).
• To develop new products for use in the Inkjet, solvent, UV, and Electronic Materials market that are aligned with the company strategy.
• Daily tasks in the laboratory as required.
• Product Development
• Working on the formulation and research of new and existing products.
• Interact with internal and external customers to advance product development and implementation in PCB and other Electronic Materials segments where applicable.
• Application of own scientific knowledge in problem solving situations
• Provide updates of project progress, including regular communication with project leaders
• Provide both technical and customer service support when necessary
