Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an R&D Finance Assistant - Operational Finance to provide essential financial and administrative support within the Research & Development Finance function. This role involves invoice processing, reporting, reconciliations and responding to financial queries.

Working under senior finance colleagues, you will help maintain accurate records, support monthly management reporting, liaise with budget holders and suppliers, and

Qualifications

• Essential finance procedures knowledge.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under guidance of senior finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Raising invoices and requisitions in the Oracle financial system.
• Investigating invoices, payment, payroll, and coding queries.
• Supporting monthly management reports.
• Liaising with budget holders, suppliers and finance colleagues to resolve issues.
• Monitoring outstanding debts and escalating issues when required.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and reporting information.
