Job summary

Parker Meggitt in Bristol is seeking an experienced R&D Engineer to support the Fuel Systems Division in the development of new fuel gauging and sensing technologies. You will contribute to defining requirements, verification, and safety assessments of emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant technical or scientific subject.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical design information.
• Knowledge and understanding of validation and verification.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and conduct investigations.
• Proficiency in technical report writing and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities for new fuel gauging and sensing technologies.
• Develop and maintain requirements databases for novel fuel gauging systems and technologies.
• Create, update, and maintain test plans and test procedures.
• Support verification and validation activities in line with project requirements.
• Conduct system analyses, including FHA, PSSA and FMEA.
• Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and technology maturation.
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to design reviews, test reviews, and project meetings.
