Job summary

ZENOVO in Warwick, UK is seeking an Electronics Technician to join a hands-on, development-focused team. You will work on a range of projects from consumer to transport and medical devices, collaborating with engineers across disciplines to move ideas from concept to launch.

The role emphasizes practical electronics work, prototyping and problem solving, with opportunities to contribute to varied engineering endeavours in a non-production setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electronics assembly, soldering and PCB rework.
• Excellent hand-soldering skills, including small surface-mount components.
• Practical experience building/modifying electronic prototypes.
• Experience in an electronics development/R&D environment beyond production.
• Good understanding of PCBs, components and basic circuit principles.
• Familiarity with electronics CAD software and navigating PCB designs.

Responsibilities

• Hand-build and modify electronic circuits and prototypes from briefs.
• Carry out soldering and PCB rework, incl. small SMT components.
• Build prototype boards, breadboards and assemblies.
• Support engineers with prototype development, testing and iterations.
• Inspect, modify and troubleshoot PCBs and assemblies.
• Access PCB designs using CAD systems.
