Qualifications

• Experience in electronics assembly, soldering and PCB rework.
• Excellent hand-soldering skills including small surface-mount components.
• Practical experience building or modifying electronic prototypes.
• Experience working in an electronics development/R&D environment.
• Good understanding of PCBs, components and circuit principles.
• Familiarity with electronics CAD software and PCB designs/schematics.
• Relevant electronics qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Hand-build and modify electronic circuits and prototypes from briefs.
• Carry out high-quality soldering and PCB rework, including very small components.
• Build prototype boards, breadboards and assemblies.
• Support engineers with prototype development, testing and iterations.
• Inspect, modify and troubleshoot PCBs and assemblies.
• Access PCB designs and schematics using CAD systems.
• Progress towards PCB components and layouts for prototypes.
• Maintain the electronics lab, tools and equipment.
• Manage workload and multiple projects across teams.
