Project Freelance in Adlington, Cheshire is seeking a Control Systems Engineer (R&D) to own development of bespoke machinery. You will design PLC, HMI, and servo motion control software, produce electrical schematics and documentation, and deliver projects from concept through testing and commissioning.

The role requires strong Siemens PLC programming, motion control experience and an electrical bias. Some travel to UK and internationally may be required and there is one day per week

Qualifications

• Strong Siemens PLC programming experience.
• Experience with multi-axis servo motion control and HMI development.
• Electrical bias with background in manufacturing or machinery design.
• Degree, HNC or HND in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Willingness to commute to Adlington and travel as required.

Responsabilités

• Develop PLC, HMI, multi-axis servo motion control and safety software for bespoke machinery.
• Produce electrical schematics and supporting technical documentation.
• Deliver projects from design through programming, testing, commissioning and training.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, suppliers and customers to improve control systems.
• Carry out fault-finding, upgrades and remote technical support.
• Investigate and integrate new technologies into machinery designs.
• Based in Adlington, with UK and international travel as required.
