Job summary

Elland is seeking a Chemistry graduate or laboratory professional to join a growing technical team, contributing from concept through to commercialisation in a chemical manufacturing environment. You will deliver hands-on lab work, test formulations, and analyse results to drive product development and continuous improvement, collaborating with technical, manufacturing, quality and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• A degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline.
• Laboratory testing experience and strong experimental skills.
• Ability to analyse technical data and communicate findings clearly.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out laboratory testing, experiments and product evaluations.
• Preparing formulations, samples and test materials.
• Analysing experimental data and producing clear technical reports.
• Supporting innovation and product development projects from concept to completion.
• Providing technical recommendations based on laboratory findings.
• Working with cross-functional teams to support project delivery.
• Assisting with product scale-up, validation activities and process improvements.
• Supporting the continuous development of laboratory methods and procedures.
