Job summary

The Hills Group in Mortimer is seeking a Weighbridge Operative to manage weighbridge operations and process vehicle movements using a computerised weighing system. This full-time role includes processing cash sales, maintaining records, and coordinating with the Sales Office for deliveries.

You will support transport and logistics, ensure compliance with policies, and uphold high standards of customer service in a long-established quarry business renowned for quality and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with a friendly and professional approach.

• Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in the use of IT systems.
• Previous experience in the quarry industry or a similar role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring customer requirements are met and all vehicle movements are processed accurately through the weighbridge system.
• Liaise with the Sales Office to communicate additional requirements, order amendments and discrepancies.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and ensure materials are only supplied to authorised customers.
• Process cash sales transactions accurately in line with procedures.
• Complete daily weighbridge administration including recording tonnages and reconciling documentation.
• Support transport and logistics coordination, assisting with scheduling and routing for timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for operations and regulatory compliance.
