Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead operations at a busy hard rock quarry and asphalt site near Llanelli, South Wales. You will oversee extraction, processing and delivery, driving safety, efficiency and production performance.

This hands-on leadership role requires regulating compliance with Quarries Regulations 1999, managing budgets and teams, and delivering highest standards of safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in quarrying, mineral extraction or heavy industry.
• Diploma in Quarry Technology or equivalent qualification.
• SHE NVQ Level 4 or QCF Level 6.
• Knowledge of Quarries Regulations 1999.
• Experience managing operating budgets and teams.
• SAP and MS Office experience.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational responsibility for quarrying activities and asphalt production.
• Lead, develop and manage site teams to meet production, safety and cost objectives.
• Ensure compliance with Quarries Regulations 1999, environmental and health and safety procedures.
• Manage budgets and identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee extraction, crushing, screening, processing and material movement.
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality and delivery.
• Develop safe systems of work, risk assessments and SOPs.
• Monitor KPIs, prepare performance reports and drive improvements.
