Job summary

Quantinuum in the United Kingdom seeks a Research Scientist to develop quantum algorithms for topological and geometric invariants of data, with emphasis on QTDA and hardware-backed implementations on Quantinuum processors.

You will collaborate with hardware, error correction, and software teams, publish results at leading conferences, and foster collaborations with academic and industry partners to advance quantum data analysis.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, mathematics, CS, or related field.
• Research experience in quantum algorithms, preferably with exposure to QTDA/Quantum Error Correction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on quantum algorithms focusing on topological and geometric invariants of data.
• Develop mathematical frameworks to improve resource efficiency and error robustness.
• Design, implement, and optimize quantum algorithms on simulators and hardware.
• Contribute to end‑to‑end resource estimation under hardware constraints.
• Collaborate with industry and academic partners on QTDA use cases.
