Job summary

Nu Quantum Ltd is seeking a Software Engineer to help create tools for scientists developing quantum networking solutions. You will join the Software team building software for lab use, control interfaces and prototype product GUIs, with embedded firmware work for hardware integration.

You will collaborate in an agile environment with scientists and engineers to define requirements, maintain and test software solutions, and ensure high-quality delivery across platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience developing with compiled languages such as Rust or C++.
• Knowledge of embedded systems (microcontrollers, SOCs or FPGA soft cores).
• Proficiency with scripting language such as Python.
• Experience with source control, CI, unit testing, integration testing and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to interface with optics, electronics and hardware.
• Collaborate with FPGA and electronics system integration specialists to enable quantum network control systems.
• Develop user interfaces for product demonstrators and measurement control.
• Proactively improve workflows and system design.
• Create high-quality, testable and maintainable code.
