Job summary

IonQ is seeking an Electronics Engineering Manager to lead the electronics function within our Systems team. You will manage a team of three electronics engineers and grow it as programmes scale, spending roughly 60% of your time on leadership and 40% on hands‑on design work to keep delivery fast and reliable.

You will own the electronics architecture from schematic capture to board and system‑level test, coordinate with physics, firmware, mechanical and systems teams, and drive tooling,

Qualifications

• Around ten years of experience in electronics design and development.
• Strong background in high‑speed and mixed‑signal electronics.
• Proven experience leading engineers and delivering hardware from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of electronics engineers and influence growth as programmes scale.
• Own the architecture of electronics subsystems, including mixed‑signal and high‑speed design; lead design reviews.
• Plan, track and report electronics workstreams against milestones, manage risks and dependencies.
• Set and improve design standards, verification and test strategy, and documentation practices.
• Lead productisation from prototypes to production systems and coordinate with suppliers/contract manufacturers.
