Job summary

Infleqtion is seeking a Quantum Error Correction Specialist to design, analyse, and implement fault‑tolerant architectures for scalable quantum computation. You will develop codes, decoding algorithms, and fault‑tolerant gates tailored to our hardware platforms, translating theory into experimentally realizable protocols.

Qualifications

• PhD in theoretical physics, mathematics, computer science, or another field closely related to quantum information science.
• 2+ years of postdoctoral experience (or industry equivalent) in QEC is highly preferred.
• Experience tailoring error‑correcting codes for quantum computing devices; bridging theory and experiment.
• Strong publication record in relevant fields.
• Proficient in scientific computing.
• Excellent communication across levels and teams.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new topics quickly.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue research advancing QEC theory, techniques, and implementation in experimental devices.
• Develop and optimize QEC protocols for neutral atom and other quantum platforms.
• Use mathematical models and simulations to analyze QEC performance.
• Develop and implement custom QEC decoders.
• Mitigate noise processes and collaborate with hardware and software teams.
• Communicate research findings to colleagues and external audiences.
• Publish and present at conferences and in journals.
• Stay updated on advances in QEC and related fields.
• Provide guidance to team members and foster collaboration.
