Job summary

DeepRec.ai in London is seeking an Electronic Engineer to design and build advanced photonic quantum hardware. You will work on analogue and mixed-signal circuits, PCB development, and system integration with physicists, optical engineers, and software colleagues.

You will bring up hardware in the lab, run validation tests, document designs, and help take concepts toward product-ready hardware, including EMC readiness and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
• 2–4 years’ experience in electronics or hardware engineering.
• Strong analogue and mixed-signal electronics knowledge.
• PCB design experience with schematic capture and layout.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers.

Responsibilities

• Design analogue and mixed-signal electronics for photonic hardware.
• Own PCB development from schematic to layout and testing.
• Bring up and characterize hardware in the lab.
• Debug and iterate designs based on test results.
• Collaborate with software engineers to define hardware interfaces.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to translate requirements into hardware.
• Support EMC testing and regulatory readiness.
• Produce technical documentation and test reports.
